Oxymesh® Technology - A Breakthrough in Orthopedic Dog Beds
Oxymesh® is an innovative, patent-pending European technology created in collaboration with veterinarians. After 3 years of research and 76 prototypes, we created a material that helps dogs with joint problems to get up more easily.
When a dog gets up after a nap, their joints aren’t properly warmed up. On regular beds, dogs need to use a lot of force to get up, which can cause micro-injuries to joints.
Oxymesh® is over 10 times more elastic than memory foam and 521% more elastic than regular foam. This means our mattresses help the dogs to get up instead of sinking under their weight. This is a huge relief for dogs, especially with arthritis or after having a surgery.
No More Mold and Bad Smells in Your Dog’s Bed
It’s a same old story – your dog comes back from a walk in the rain or has an “accident” on their bed. Regular bed have foam fillings and even a small amount of moisture inside can cause mold and bacteria growth. This is especially dangerous for dogs with allergies.
Oxymesh® is the only filling you can wash entirely under the shower. It consists of 90% air, and the remaining 10% is water-repelling polymer threads.
Oxymesh® dries in just 7.5 hours after washing, and when placed near a heater, drying takes only takes 3 hours! Compared to other bed fillings, this is really quick:
• Oxymesh®: 7,5h
• Memory foam: 69.5h
• Regular foam: 74h
• Latex: 35.5h
Oxymesh® Cools Down Your Dog During Heat Waves
Unlike humans, dogs don’t sweat through their skin. On hot days, they look for cool places and often lie on cold hard tiles. Regular beds retain heat, causing dogs to overheat during heat waves.
Thanks to its unique structure, Oxymesh® allows air flow and dissipates heat 5 times faster than memory foam. It means your dog can finally rest comfortably on their bed even on the hottest days.
Hypoallergenic Filling - Safety for Your Dog
The problem with traditional dog beds is they are like a sponge – they have thousands of tiny holes where dust, bacteria, fungi, and mites can accumulate.
You can check it yourself. A bad smell coming from the bed is a good indicator that the bed is dirty inside. And old, dirty beds often cause allergies and itching in your dog.
Oxymesh® isn’t a sponge. Its structure consists of non-porous polymer fibers where bacteria and mites simply have nowhere to grow and multiply.
That’s why Petformed beds will never smell – the particles responsible for unpleasant odors can’t penetrate the material’s structure.
Therefore, even after many months of use, the bed won’t have that characteristic “dog” smell.
And if dirt gets inside the bed, you can just rinse it under the shower.
Petformed Lasts 5 Times Longer Than a Regular Bed
Regular beds usually collapse after just a few months of use. When foam loses its properties, it stops supporting your dog’s joints and you need to buy a new bed.
Lab tests showed that Oxymesh® can withstand up to 53,000 deformation cycles, while:
• Regular foam: 10,500 cycles
• Latex foam: 15,000 cycles
• Memory foam: 13,500 cycles
What does this mean in practice? You don’t have to replace the bed every six months. Oxymesh® maintains its properties for years – that’s why we give a one-year warranty on both filling and cover.
